Mr Chris Colville
Assistant Principal and Head of Dyrham College
I am Chris Colville, one of the Assistant Principals across the campus. Among my different responsibilities, I take a lead on attendance – ensuring students are in lessons as often as they are able. We know being present and engaged in learning is one of the key building blocks for an excellent education.
I am a teacher and leader in our school to give students the opportunities to be happy and successful in the future. Every lesson learnt and every new idea they come across can help them to prepare for what comes next. I want students to leave our school excited about the choices they have in front of them – choices which will be available to them because of the hard work they have put in.
As a school, we work hard with our students and their families to build a community where we support each other, take pride in who we are together and provide an excellent education for all.

Mrs Jayne Jones
Associate Assistant Principal and Head of Broughton College
Welcome to the Wykham Park Academy website, my name is Mrs Jones and I am one of the Associate Assistant Principals at our wonderful school.
As Head of College I deeply value the opportunity to work closely with students.Talking to our students and getting to share their experiences with them is a real highlight of my job and I am exceedingly proud of everything they achieve, both in and out of school. Indeed our students are a real credit to us, consistently demonstrating the values and qualities we strive for. Their achievements, both within and beyond the classroom, reflect their dedication, resilience, and commitment to personal growth. Whether excelling in academic competitions, contributing to community projects, or arts, sports and leadership activities
I believe that we have a duty towards the students to not only provide them with a high quality education but also provide them the skills they need to become well rounded individuals. Every child has the potential to make a meaningful impact on the world and by nurturing all aspects of their development, we empower our students to become innovative thinkers, compassionate leaders, and responsible global citizens.
Working at Wykham Park is a real privilege and I am thrilled to be part of a dedicated team committed to fostering a nurturing and dynamic learning environment for our students.
I am very proud of the community we have created and how we encourage our students to respect and appreciate one another’s differences, promoting an inclusive culture where everyone feels they belong.

Mr Joseph Chilvers
Assistant Principal and Raising Standards Leader
I am Joseph Chilvers, Assistant Principal at Wykham Park
As the Assistant Principal leading on Raising Standards and ensuring rigorous assessment, my mission is to ensure that every student at our school is provided with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. Our assessment program is designed to measure and support student growth, guiding our educational strategies to meet the diverse needs of our learning community.
In this role, I collaborate with teachers, students, and parents to create a data-driven environment where informed decisions foster academic excellence. From standardised testing to classroom assessments, my focus is on interpreting and utilising assessment data to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to working together towards our shared goal of educational excellence.
“Whatever your 100% looks like, give it.”
Ms Philippa Newland
Assistant Principal and Head of Charlecote College
As an Assistant Principal, it is also a privilege for me to be the Head of Charlecote College where I get to work with students and staff affiliated to this college.
We want our students to get the most out of their time with us, and want to encourage them to feel part of a smaller community within the school. There are opportunities for sharing student voice, driving events in school, and getting involved with leadership. When we work together as a community, we achieve the best.
Every young person has a right to an education, and I believe that creating an environment where we communicate well, develop trust and honesty leads to a school where students feel happy, safe and can achieve their best. Our rewards and consequence systems, support this vision, but alongside this is the relationships that students build with their peers and the adults they interact with on a daily basis.
Teenage years can be full of emotional changes, new challenges and opportunities. As a parent to four children I have plenty of first hand experience! Sometimes there can be obstacles in the way; helping our young people find the resilience and courage to overcome these so they can leave us as confident, aspirational individuals is a main focus of my role here. There is a great support network here at Wykham Park and we want every young person to develop as good citizens alongside achieving their real academic potential.
Let’s work together and make the future bright.
