Throughout the final week of this term, all of our wonderful students across campus took the time to express their gratitude towards a member of staff.
During mentor time, students were taught about how they can demonstrate kindness through an ‘Appreciation’. Students were encouraged to be grateful and take a moment to say ‘thank you’ to somebody they appreciate. At Wykham Park and Futures, we believe in the power of having an ‘Attitude of Gratitude’.
It was wonderful to see students writing their Appreciations during mentor time. We had Appreciations for teachers, cleaners, caretakers, and canteen staff. The best appreciations were selected by the Student Council Reps, and ACE Awards were issued for these students. A special recognition goes to the Student Council Representatives that took the lead during our Appreciation Week and helped with the sorting and the delivery of over 900 Appreciation cards!
The positive impact of our Appreciation Week was notable by the smiles on the teachers’ faces when they received their Appreciation card. We also had lots of students asking to do more Appreciations as they wanted to thank more members of staff.
A lovely way to end the term and an ideal opportunity to express appreciation.
