Throughout last week we are extremely proud to have delivered CPR Training to students across the Aspirations campus as part of our Leadership and Responsibility threads of learning, equipping them with life-saving skills that could make a real difference in an emergency. In PE we believe in empowering our students with knowledge beyond the classroom, and CPR training is just one step towards building confident, responsible individuals.

Working alongside the British Heart Foundation, students learnt the differences between a Heart Attack and Cardiac Arrest, how to give CPR effectively, as well as how a Defibrillator works and how to use it effectively.

With the lessons being interactive in small groups, it meant that students were able to take part in quizzes, hear real life stories and take part in role-playing activities such as imitating talking to the emergency services, taking part in peer-assessment of the CPR technique and working the defibrillator effectively.
