WHAT ARE WE STUDYING

Year 7 will be finding out what attracts so many visitors to Europe, while focusing on improving their grammar and punctuation. They will also be developing their oracy and presentation skills and creating their own holiday resort destination.

This term is a first taster of Spanish, as students learn some basic holiday Spanish, booking accommodation and ordering food in different scenarios.

Students will also discover how Christmas is celebrated in Spain and then research and deliver their own findings on festive customs in other European countries.

OTHER INFORMATION

Assessment is ongoing, with one particular piece assessed for progress in literacy at the end of the term.

Students can develop their understanding further by using the resources below, available in the school library and online.
